Renita Rich-Bren
Renita Rich Bren is the President and Founder of Preparing4College101 providing a full range of services to government, private, and non-profit organizations. Mrs. Rich Bren has been actively assisting and supporting students with college admissions and scholarships. She has also been engaged by organizations to help educate and inform parents with college admissions requirements, which include test, prep such: as PSAT, SAT, ACT, essay writing, and college applications. Among her many clients are TRiO Educational Talent Search, Upward Bound, G.I.R.L.S. Club, TimeOut4U Inc. and a host of civic and religious organizations.
Mrs. Rich Bren has held numerous high–visibility and influential positions. She began her distinguished career as an elementary education educator in Escambia County School District in Pensacola, FL. She solidified her educational expertise and built a life long commitment to improving the quality of education to urban populations living in poverty. Some highlights of Mrs. Rich Bren’ s career include, 1) training a staff of educators in the Howard Street Tutoring Program; 2) utilizing her outstanding communication and leadership abilities to co-facilitate the afterschool Computer Additive Manufacturing Program; 3) participant in the development and implementation of STEM with the Southeastern Consortium of Minorities in Engineering with Hampton University; 4) literacy facilitator and presenter at the 2005 International Literacy Association Conference in San Antonio, Texas.
She also served as an Instructional Leader with Hampton City Schools in Hampton, Virginia where she mentored new teachers in reading and math. In this role, Mrs. Rich Bren was able to apply her extensive expertise to recommend innovative curriculum enhancements to ensure the program remained cutting-edge.
Mrs. Rich Bren possesses a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Alabama State University and is currently pursuing a Masters in Reading. She is married to Astro Bren and has four beautiful children, Zora, Anniyha, Astro, and Jeremiah.
